Privacy Policy

Lex Tang built SubList as a commercial app. This service is provided by Lex Tang and is intended for use as is.

This page explains what data may be processed when you use SubList, how it is used, and when it may be shared with service providers.

SubList is designed so that your subscription records stay under your control. The app also uses limited third-party services for subscriptions, app reliability, analytics, and advertising measurement.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in the Terms and Conditions for SubList unless otherwise defined here.

Information Collection and Use

Information you enter into SubList

Your subscription records, notes, categories, screenshots you choose to import, and similar content are stored on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, that content is stored in your iCloud account under your Apple ID. I do not operate my own backend to store this content.

If you grant access to your Photos library to import subscription screenshots, that feature is intended to work on-device. Your screenshots are not uploaded to my own server as part of that import flow.

Data processed for subscriptions, reliability, analytics, and advertising measurement

SubList and its service providers may process limited categories of data such as:

  • Purchase history and subscription entitlement data
  • Product interaction data, such as app opens or similar in-app activity
  • Crash data
  • Device identifiers

This data may be used to:

  • Unlock and restore SubList Pro purchases
  • Keep the app working reliably and investigate crashes
  • Measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns
  • Understand general product usage and improve the app

Third-party services

SubList currently relies on third-party services that may process limited data on my behalf or under their own policies, including:

  • Apple, including the App Store, StoreKit, and iCloud
  • RevenueCat, for subscription and purchase management
  • Meta, for advertising attribution and measurement

These providers may receive or process limited data that is necessary for their role.

Log Data

SubList may process limited crash and diagnostic information through third-party services to understand failures, improve stability, and keep the app reliable.

Tracking

SubList may use device identifiers and in-app interaction data with Meta to measure whether advertising leads to installs, opens, or related app activity. Under Apple’s definitions, this may be treated as tracking for advertising measurement.

Security

I take reasonable steps to protect the information involved in the app. Your subscription records are intended to remain on your device or in your iCloud account rather than on my own server. Data handled by third-party providers is subject to their security practices and privacy policies.

This service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by me. I strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of those websites. I have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Children’s Privacy

SubList is not directed to children under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the service, please contact me so I can address the issue.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. I will notify you of changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
